Who We Are

Welcome to Three Little Pitties Rescue, a non-profit, 501c3 organization specializing in rescuing dogs and cats of all breeds in the Houston, Texas area. Our mission is to save animals from desperate situations and provide them with better lives. Since 2018, we've proudly saved over 13,000 animals and transported them to loving homes up north. If you're looking to make a difference in the lives of animals in need, join our mission at Three Little Pitties Rescue today.

Our mission is to change the lives of humans, dogs and cats through adoption, transport and community outreach.

Welcome to Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP), a passionate non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats in the Houston, Texas area. We strive to alleviate the burden on local shelters overwhelmed by homeless pets by facilitating adoptions in northern regions with lower overpopulation rates.

Led by our founder and Executive Director, Alayna Matranga Goodson, along with dedicated employees, contractors, and volunteers, Three Little Pitties Rescue relies heavily on donations to cover the expenses associated with saving these precious animals.

Our mission is clear: to provide pathways to permanent, safe, and loving homes through spay/neuter services, transport, and adoption. Since 2018, we've rescued over 2,000 animals annually from the streets, overcrowded shelters, and desperate situations like hoarding and neglect.

We operate as a foster-based program but also offer limited boarding space at our two-acre property in Friendswood, Texas. Our renovated facilities include intake and reception areas, a medical suite, behavior assessment offices, and specialized kennel and cat housing.

At Three Little Pitties Rescue, we prioritize the well-being and socialization of our animals. Our new location features large fenced play yards, where volunteers engage in playgroups, leash training, and enrichment activities like "Doggy Day Out" excursions.

In addition to our rescue efforts, we collaborate with local shelters, veterinary clinics, and animal welfare organizations to provide spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and education on responsible pet ownership. With your support, we can continue our life-saving mission and give these deserving animals the second chance they deserve. Join us in making a difference in the lives of dogs and cats in need.

Together, we are an army advocating for the voiceless and providing a lifeline to many. Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Meet Alayna Goodson

Alayna Matranga Goodson is the passionate founder and Executive Director of Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP). Based in a suburb of Houston, Texas, Alayna resides with her husband, two young children, and their beloved furry family member, Hoosier.

In late 2017, the seeds of Three Little Pitties Rescue were planted when Alayna and two friends were confronted with the heartbreaking reality of animal suffering in the Houston area. Witnessing the enormity of issues like overpopulation, abuse, neglect, and lack of education they knew they couldn't stand idly by. Despite the daunting challenges, they were determined to make a difference, no matter how small the effort may seem.
