Mothers who made it home

Urgent rescue became a new beginning.

Medical care, protected nursery space, and committed fosters give vulnerable mothers and litters the time they need.

Mama Xena

Mama Xena came from Pasadena Animal Shelter after she was found roaming Houston with a male dog. Shelter staff did not know she was pregnant until she delivered one puppy the next day. That same day, eight unrelated puppies arrived with an unknown backstory. Staff placed them with Xena, and she accepted them as her own.

Four of those puppies and Xena’s biological puppy did not survive. The four surviving puppies were nursed in the Mutternity Suites until they were ready for adoption.

Mama Tulip

Mama Tulip and her eight puppies were placed on a shelter euthanasia list. The rescue learned about them just in time and brought the entire family to safety within two hours of their scheduled euthanasia.
