This past weekend, we officially launched our animal rescue capital campaign Houston, and it marks a turning point for what’s possible.
Across a series of kickoff events, we gathered with our community—supporters, fosters, volunteers, and advocates—to share a vision that is already in motion.
A future with more space.
A future with more access to care.
A future where we can say yes more often.
This is not just an idea—it’s something we are actively building.
Every single day, animals in Houston are waiting.
Waiting in overcrowded shelters.
Waiting on the streets.
Waiting for someone to step in and change everything.
Right now, the biggest limitation isn’t need—it’s space.
Our animal rescue capital campaign Houston is focused on building a purpose-designed facility that allows us to expand every part of our work:
More space means more lives saved—it’s that simple.
This weekend wasn’t just a launch—it was a momentum shift.
Across each event, we spent time connecting with longtime supporters who have been part of this journey from the very beginning—people who have fostered, donated, advocated, and believed in this mission through every season.
We also met new faces stepping into rescue for the very first time, each one bringing fresh energy and a shared commitment to making a difference.
We shared stories that reflect the heart of this work—the ones that stay with you, the ones that remind you why saying yes matters, and the ones that show what’s possible when a community comes together.
A special thank you to Ruggles Black and B1895 Tavern for hosting our kickoff events and creating spaces that allowed this community to gather, connect, and be part of something bigger than all of us. Your support helped turn this vision into something people could truly experience.
Throughout the weekend, you could feel it— connection, belief, and momentum building in real time. Conversations turned into commitment. Interest turned into action. And a shared vision started to take shape.
And most importantly—we invited people to be part of what comes next.
Because this campaign belongs to every person who believes in second chances.
This is more than a campaign message—it’s the foundation of everything we’re building.
More space allows us to say yes to the animals who need us most.
More love ensures every animal receives the care, time, and attention they deserve.
More lives saved means a lasting impact on our community and beyond.
This is how change happens—not in one moment, but through consistent, intentional growth.
And right now, that growth is happening.
How You Can Support the Capital Campaign
The energy from this weekend is just the beginning—but we still need support to bring this vision fully to life.
This campaign is powered by people who believe in what’s possible—and every contribution helps move it forward.
You can be part of this by:
Every action matters.
Every share reaches someone new.
Every donation brings us one step closer to building a future where we can say yes more often.
What we started this weekend is already growing into something bigger.
A future where fewer animals are left waiting.
A future where space is no longer a limitation.
A future where rescue can meet the need with confidence.
We’re building that future right now—and we’re doing it together.
Want to be part of this campaign in a fun and meaningful way? We’re putting out a challenge.
We challenge you to help us spread the word.
Gather your friends, family, or coworkers and host a casual get-together—coffee, happy hour, backyard hangout—anything that brings people together to learn about what we’re building and why it matters.
Because every new person who hears this story becomes part of the impact.
And if you want to make it even more engaging, our team can help bring along a few special guests to make the experience even more memorable.
This campaign is powered by community, and it grows through people who are willing to invite others in.
So here’s the challenge:
Host something small.
Share why this matters to you.
Help us reach someone new.
If you’re ready to take on the challenge, email us at ellaine@threelittlepittiesrescue.org and we’ll help you get started.
Let’s build this together.
